This is pretty much all Apophysis flames that were assembled in Ultrafractal
Not all of the flames are recycled from previous images but most are. I hope that you don't mind that too much. The bird has been given a new set of wings that I think are more realistic.
As far as I know hummingbirds don't suck nectar from roses, but they do eat a lot of bugs for protein. Maybe this one is looking for a bug.
Thanks for looking and commenting if you would like to.
i love watching hummingbirds! i'm sure you will too! i like the way you've placed small colored flowers around the bottom!
very nicely done! don't mind the recycling at all!
I do love your hummingbird images and this one is just so well put together - old flames or not it's still a masterpiece!
I know what you mean about that 'no fractal' phase - I'm in a similar slump. I can't help but feel that all the images I create lately look the same and I just don't have the time that I used to for searching out interesting formulae and colouring algorythms. I would love to see some more of your 'sphere-work' as those images really inspired me when I was just starting to use Ultra Fractal and continue to amaze me.
I agree with Sophie! I am also a 'fan' of yours too! This is an exquiste compilation, Keith! Honestly, I love the older style of flames too! The newer flames are amazing, but just because something is new, doesn't always mean it is superior to something that is older. This has such incredible detail in it. This is so delightful to just look at! Hummers are wonderful, aren't they? I was raised in Oklahoma, and we had hummingbirds around all the time! They have always fascinated me! Thanks for sharing this amazing image!

This version is abslolutely gorgeous, Keith. I like it better than the others for the "floral" arrangement and especaiily the richness of the colors. Freaken outstanding plus, my friend!
This is most impressive! Wonderful use of fractals. Love the bird's wings.
